This is where one of the 5 C principles of leadership – Congruence − comes in. Too often leaders are not congruent. They say one thing and then do another, and all of their leadership credibility goes out the window. We believe that “leaders eat last.” Executives who have been successful up until this point in their careers are very adept at rationalizing their bad behaviors that are robbing their leadership competencies.
